Hostel Santander

This good, central hostel is built into an old townhouse facing the bay. The airy lounge provides TV, free tea, coffee and fruit, and sea views from its galería (glassed-in balcony). The three dorms – clean and fresh, with lockers and wood floors – sleep six to nine, mostly in three-tier bunks; the back one overlooks Plaza de Pombo.
