Hotel Don Paco

Asturias

Family-run Don Paco began life in the 17th century as a convent and exudes a strong sense of its role in Llanes' history, aided by the setting of its good restaurant in the old convent chapel. Facilities are far from historic and the 49 bright, all-exterior rooms, in pleasing blue-and-white, have up-to-date bathrooms and good fast wi-fi.

The restaurant (mains €14 to €30, set menus €22 to €40), with an appealing streetside terrace, does excellent original versions of traditional Asturian favourites.
