For four decades, the Chesterton family has been welcoming guests to their spectacularly sited salmon-pink farmhouse on a hilltop 10 minutes west of Aracena. Six rooms in varying configurations (including a couple of family-friendly suites) all have high ceilings, charming decor and lovely views over the surrounding countryside. There's a grand living room and a sun porch with wraparound windows.
Optional dinners (€35 including wine) and occasional four-day cooking courses (€850 including meals and accommodation) feature recipes from the family's own Buenvino Cookbook. Down the hill are a pair of two-story cottages sleeping up to four people each, surrounded by organic gardens where you can pick your own veggies. All in all, it's a dreamy base for exploring the Aracena area.
