Parador de Alarcón is one of the grand castle paradores (luxurious state-owned hotels) found throughout the country, so you might as well go the whole hog and reserve a room with a four-poster bed and a chaise longue. Regal it might be, but this is actually one of Spain's smallest paradores with just 14 rooms. Historic, but intimate.
