Dongwon Jip

Myeong-dong & Jung-gu

A rowdy watering hole with excellent food, this restaurant and bar is famous for its gamja-guk (pork-back soup). Open since 1987, the restaurant boils its broth overnight and tenderises the meat for three hours before serving. Its soondae (Korean blood sausage) is also immensely popular. Even on the coldest winter nights, Dongwon Jip has lines out the door.
