Balmoral

The only low-rise hotel on the beachfront, the Balmoral has a faded grandeur born of its former life as a colonial residence. It's in a great location on Durban's waterfront, with the promenade a short stroll away. The old-world charm is laid on a bit thick, however, with some of the rooms needing upgrades.
