Woodhead’s

Cape Town

If you’re after a full hide – cow, buffalo, antelope, zebra etc – head over to these savvy guys who’ve been catering to Cape Town’s leather trade since 1867. They also stock locally made hide boots, bags and belts. Small springbok hides go from around R450, while for a zebra skin you're looking at around R20,000 including VAT.

Zebra skins (and meat) are byproducts of compulsory culls used to maintain healthy populations of the species.
