Chihuly Lounge

Colonial District, the Quays & Marina Bay

The Ritz-Carlton's plush, posh lounge keeps afternoons fabulous with its superlative high tea. Book ahead (two days for weekdays, a week or two for weekends) and join the coiffured on weekdays for eight mini courses of delectable bites or on weekends for a never-ending buffet. Less appealing is the use of tea bags, an unworthy match for the beautiful French Bernardaud porcelain.

Teapot empty and belly full, head to the concierge desk for a guide to the hotel's 4200 piece art collection, which includes works from the likes of Andy Warhol, David Hockney and Frank Stella.
