Cockle Point

Top choice in Sierra Leone

A tranquil place with gorgeous views over River No 2, this guesthouse has four lovely thatch-roof bungalows. Two are traditional round huts, and two are split-level with balconies and 1st-floor bedrooms perfectly poised to receive the ocean breezes. The owners also have a couple of tents that they'll happily put up under thatch shelter for those on lower budgets.

To get here from Freetown, continue around 100 metres after the sign for River No 2, and then follow the signs for Cockle Point. It's about 300 metres to the entrance.
