By focusing on connecting its properties and guests with nature, Six Senses has climbed to the top of the luxury hotel brand rankings. Looking at Zil Pasyon, it's easy to see why. The sleek wood-filled villas, each with their own infinity pool, blend seamlessly into the rocky, jungle-clad landscape and offer guests their own private slice of paradise.
The interiors are decked out with warm wood on both the floors and the vaulted ceilings, while white linens, woven wall coverings and teal rugs and cushions add softer textures and vibrancy. Wall-to-wall bi-fold doors let the outside in, connecting the large deck and outdoor dining area with the bedroom. The slate-filled bathrooms proffer views, some from a swing beside the bath, and all feature Japanese toilets with all their bells and squirting whistles. The only downside is that none of the villas have direct beach access, though all but one of them (number 2) have spectacular ocean views, even the less expensive 'hideaway' options.
Activities available to guests include kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, snorkelling, nature walks and treatments in the magical rock-topping spa.
