Ribnjak

Top choice in Belgrade

An unremarkable houseboat moored far enough from the city centre that few people know about it (or ever see it!), this undeniably simple restoran (restaurant) does remarkable, extra effort-worthy things with river fish.

The speciality is rarely seen fish mućkalica (spicy stew) – order that as an appetiser (after the fish soup!) and follow with a perfectly griddle-seared whole zander (grillovani smuđ) and sides of Dalmatian-style potato and mangel (chard). No English menu. It's a 600RSD or so CarGo ride from Trg Republike.
