Djidjack

Senegal

Run by a Swiss couple, welcoming Djidjack has round bungalows with conical thatch ceilings, African artwork and a small terrace. Budget travellers can also camp (mattress and mosquito net provided).

It's a short stroll to the empty beach, and guests can borrow books, lounge by the pool (or in hammocks strung around the property) and enjoy meals served in the lovely case à impluvium (a large, round traditional house). There's also outdoor dining on a raised deck attached to a baobab tree.
