Betty Mouat’s Camping Böd

This is a simple and comfortable hostel run by the Shetland Amenity Trust, with fridge, peat fire (£5 a bag), power and decent hot-water bathrooms. It was formerly the home of local lass Betty, who was once adrift for eight days on a sailing boat in the 19th century before ending up in Norway.
