Stronsay Fish Mart

Orkney

Now renovated, this year-round hostel occupies the building that was once the island's herring market, among cottages that used to house the men that worked the fishing fleet. It's a comfortable, likeable spot with a cafe (serving scrumptious home baking and simple, tasty low-priced hot food), self-catering kitchen and comfortable en suite dorms sleeping two; there's also a family room. It's fully wheelchair accessible.
