Built as a Victorian shooting lodge in 1860, Muckrach has been tastefully converted into a luxurious country house hotel with a relaxed and informal atmosphere. The lounge, complete with grand piano, serves coffee, cake and snacks through the day, and the restaurant (mains £13 to £21) serves a brasserie-style menu at lunch and dinner weekdays, and all day Saturday.
