Outside Field Southside

Field Southside

Edinburgh

A tiny restaurant punching way above its weight, Field pulls off that rare feat: fine dining at modest prices. The food is Scottish, contemporary, and beautifully plated, all eaten while overlooked by a giant cow painted on one wall. The lunch/pre-theatre menu of three courses for £16.95 (available noon to 2pm and 5.30pm to 6.45pm) is extraordinarily good value.
