The excellent French-inspired Romanian cooking, with a few welcome atypical starters such as hummus, make this a must-visit. The convenient Piața Unirii location doesn't hurt. French influences include a very good foie gras and duck confit. If too many hotel breakfast buffets have you pining for something different, the breakfast menu includes the city's best eggs Benedict (25 lei).
