The HQ of award-winning Carpathian Nature Tours, this cosy guesthouse has spick-and-span rooms with pine beds, colourful bedspreads, and corridors lined with stunning local photography. There is a terrace from which to admire the panorama of rolling greenery, plus an excellent restaurant serving traditional food. The main reason to stay is joining a bear-hide tour or guided hike (ask a week ahead).
For longer tours in high summer, book at least a month in advance. Villa Hermani is open in winter, but only for organised tours; check well in advance if you're planning to visit outside peak June to September season.
Wi-fi costs an extra €5.
