Püspök Panzió

Top choice in Transylvania

Brimming with charm and colour, this former barn has been transformed into a welcoming guesthouse with unique hand-painted decoration, firm beds and spotless white linens. Chairs and bedframes are a riot of blue-and-red patterns, expertly finished by a local furniture painter. Breakfast is an extra €3. Traditional Kalotaszeg dinners (€7) are available on request. It's expertly run by the Davincze Tours team.

Guesthouse manager Istvan, whose father was a wood carver, also learned this traditional craft and can offer workshops to visitors on request (from €7 per hour).
