Mboko's current incarnation dates from 2015, and it's an impressive place, set on an open strip of savannah peppered with giant termite hills. The rooms, which are effectively permanent tents, are huge and elegant, with terraces overlooking a rust-coloured stream and every comfort provided. The grand wooden communal area serves meals as hyenas look on from the bush.
