Coffee Asherg

Doha

This traditional coffeehouse on the eastern (sea-facing) edge of Souq Waqif has patterned tapestry seats and is decorated with portraits of sheikhs. Basic snacks include salads and sandwiches (served from 5.30pm), but most guests come to smoke shisha and sip on mint tea, while watching the bustling souq life go by.
