Given Qatar's picturesque northeastern coastline, it’s surprising there aren't more resorts on it. This one could be beautiful, but it needs a big overhaul; it's rough around the edges, with unfriendly staff and very basic rooms. Apartments have a kitchen area for self-catering, and there are indoor and outdoor pools, but no private beach.
There is a public beach next door, but it is closed between May and September to protect nesting hawksbill turtles.
