Accessible by a small boat from Porto, Quinta de Ventozelo, a vineyard hotel with spectacular views of the green terraces from every corner, Cantina de Ventolozo is all about connection with the natural world. The restaurant is a renovated former worker’s barn, with outside ovens and a menu that prioritizes locally-sourced meats and cheeses. Get the ‘secret’ pork with sausage rice, or the melt-in-the-mouth veal and rustic potatoes. Wines available include those sourced from the region, as well as many produced on the Quinta itself.
