With a prime position looking up to the Igreja de Misericordia and an attractive slate-floored interior, this central place is a good spot for a taste of Serra cuisine. That means plenty of ham and cheese, sausages and morcela (black pudding) and rich daily specials of chanfana (highland goat) and bacalhau (dried salt-cod).
Adjacent to the restaurant is a shop selling wines, olive oils and a range of gourmet treats.
