The Yeatman

Vila Nova de Gaia

The Yeatman is a two-star restaurant in Porto within a spectacularly-stylish hotel of the same name. The tasting menu of 14 dishes is the brainchild of Portuguese MasterChef judge Ricardo Costa. Although slightly ostentatious at times, there are plenty of memorable morsels that will impress and a kitchen visit to break up the formalities. The crunchy seaweed tart with seabass, ginger and tapioca pearls packs an impressive punch, and the nitro zamburina - creamed Galician scallops fashioned into a shell and served with a berry confit – is almost too good to eat. Don’t miss the incredible spider crab, and also opt for the award-winning wine pairing (either €250 or €125 per person, depending on options).
