Mercado da Foz

Foz do Douro

Stalls are piled high with fresh produce and flowers at this recently revamped covered market. There are plenty of food stands, where you can tuck into everything from Trás-os-Montes cheeses and smoked sausage to Douro wines, gourmet burgers and hot dogs, and meltingly tender leitão (suckling pig) from the Bairrada region.
