Brick Clérigos

Aliados & Bolhão

If you’re in search of a hipster hangout in Porto, this gourmet sandwich and tapas bar is your haunt. Brick Clérigos is one of the city’s communal dining pioneers, rallying everyone around a big wooden table stacked with books, colouring pencils and the odd pot plant.

Food envy is a valid concern when seated within gawking distance of fellow diners, but never fear: you’re bound to pick a winner from the extensive sanger and tapas menu, which includes organic products where possible. Trying to ease off the carbs? Pick a quinoa bowl or salad instead. Seats fill quickly given the cafe’s tasty fodder and proximity to one of Porto’s key attractions, the Clérigos Tower, so arrive early or book ahead.
