Pousada de Juventude Alvados

Estremadura & Ribatejo

This friendly, sparkling, modern (if institutional) place 8km southeast of Porto de Mós has four-bed dorms and doubles with private bathrooms, as well as kitchen and wheelchair-accessible facilities. The helpful and long-standing manager, Joana, can give you the rundown of what's in the area. Buses from Leiria (€4, 55 minutes) stop out front twice daily on weekdays. The 6pm check-in is infuriating, however.
