A transplant from Berlin's hip Prenzlauer Berg district, this artsy and modern Indian place strikes the perfect balance between real-deal South Indian street food (sometimes with innovative twists) and hipster decor (Mexican-designed Bollywood-esque clapboard panelling).
The dosas (rice and lentil Indian-style crêpes) are legit – both the classic masala dosa (with potatoes) and the more creative duck dosa. The Indian chef isn't afraid to add a bit of fury to the curries (lamb, chickpea, chicken, fish, aubergines etc) if you ask, and everything is a bit less greasy and healthier than in the motherland (noticeably less ghee, no greasy residue after hand-devouring those dosas!). There's even Kingfisher Indian beer.
