Horta dos Brunos

Marquês de Pombal & Around

Chef Pedro Filipe's somewhat unknown and unassuming gourmet tasca, a favourite among moving and shaking politicians and in-the-know gastronauts, does some of Lisbon's best work. There's a menu, but stick to your server's rundown of what's cooking daily, such as extraordinary tuna, cuttlefish à lagareiro and succulent lamb chops, all beautifully presented and modern in execution. There are top-end French wines, too.

If there's a complaint, it's the prices – a bit too Parisian for Lisbon standards. But you can't fault the food. Reserve ahead!
