Izcalli Antojeria

Lisbon

Sitting inconspicuously along Alcântara's main drag, this tiny, cash- and counter-only small plates newcomer is an authentic journey through Mexico's intricate flavours. Chef Ivo Tavares and margarita maven Paola have lived and cooked in Mexico City, Oaxaca and the Yucatán; their two-team show incontestably satiates the need for authentic mole, al pastor and other gourmet versions of regional street staples.

The intimate open kitchen hosts two seatings (7pm and 9pm). Reserve ahead and go easy on the excellent margaritas – the bill adds up muy rapido.
