Carpintarias de São Lázaro

Currently in soft opening mode, this new cultural centre in the heart of Mouraria is housing temporary exhibitions in the afternoons, as construction works are done in the morning. This three-floor former carpenter's haunt survived a fire and years of neglect but will soon become the new hub of contemporary art in the city, complete with restaurants, bars and lounge areas.
