Set in a characterful blue house in the old part of town, this excellent hostel is a laid-back, sociable place with excellent facilities for backpackers and surfers. Beds are in colourful, high-ceilinged dorms or quiet private rooms, while communal areas include a kitchen and bar area. Bikes, surfboards and wetsuits are available for hire, and the laundry service (€5) is a godsend for road-weary travellers.
In high season, there are weekly barbecues and other events so you've got an instant social scene, led by the helpful English owners, who offer great advice on everything from biking routes to nightlife.
