This modern 23-room hotel with a guesthouse feel is awash in the whimsical and colourful artwork of the owner, who also makes some of the arts and crafts in the lobby shop. The rooms are all modern, commodious and attractive – set in bright colour schemes and many with balconies framing astonishing monastery views across the orange rooftops.
The excellent breakfast with homemade jams (also made by the owner) and a welcome drink on arrival are sweet bonuses. And did we mention the swimming pool, minigym and pool table? Rooms with view of the monastery cost €10 to €15 more.
