Kawiarnia Tatrzańska

Carpathian Mountains

A stalwart of Tarnów's dining scene, this atmospherically old-school restaurant-cafe doesn't aim to pull any surprises, offering żurek (traditional sour rye soup), pierogi and the rest. There's a little novelty to be found however, such as the Zakopane-style pickled pork loin with grilled sheep's cheese. The attached 19th-century cafe makes a great stop for coffee, cake or ice cream.
