Hotel Kasprowy Wierch

Zakopane

This late-19th-century Swiss-style villa has been a hotel since 1936, and sits pretty at the southern end of Zakopane's central promenade. The rooms don't quite match the historic exterior for charm, but are clean and comfortable enough. The in-house restaurant (mains 22zł to 30zł) offers the usual soups, grilled meats, dumplings and pancakes, and can be trusted to do them well.
