The only female-owned restaurant in Chefchaouen, Sofia (named after the owner's daughter) is a revelation in a city where restaurants have largely neglected what's on the menu. Chef Nuura's cinnamon-hinted bastilla rolls are to die for and the vegetarian couscous has to be the best in town. Seating is outdoors on a few tables across from the small kitchen.
From Plaza El Majzen, walk up the first set of steps and Sofia is on the far left-hand side.
