Even if you're not staying at the American Colony Hotel, it's worth stopping by the Courtyard Restaurant for Middle Eastern dishes served on tiled tables beneath the shade of olive trees. Try the mahshi (rice-stuffed courgettes). It's a little pricey, but the pretty setting makes it worth the splurge.
