A cheaper, more rounded offering than the cheese-and-wine restaurant above it, Allegro is a charming cafe in the Notre Dame complex serving pizzas, hummus and ginormous salads – try the house salad of chicken, walnuts and greens dressed in pomegranate syrup. The courtyard dining area is in the shade of the monastery's majestic white walls. Often crowded with groups.
