Vesal Homestay

Top choice in Iran

Young Ali Vesali has turned a traditional Roein house into a delightful, bargain-value getaway: three carpeted rooms and an indoor bathroom form a self-contained upstairs unit sleeping up to ten people for a single flat rate. Order ahead for prize-winning local meals and ask about hiking tours, though for now you'll need a Farsi speaker as Ali is only starting to learn English.

You'll need to have someone phone ahead in Farsi to book the place, which is the first door on the left up an alley that starts almost opposite the Dehkadeh Coffeenet (Roein's internet cafe) – there's a red sign over the alley but it's all in Farsi.

Free pickup is possible from the Bojnurd–Esfarayan road junction if you call Ali.
