The place to be on a Wednesday night is the late Uncle Robert's family compound where a significant percentage of the population turns out to live aloha. Local live music gets you dancing, while artisans and farm-fresh food aplenty keep you satiated. Park close for a fee ($5) or down the road for free. Some of the mainstay food stalls are open daily.
Stall tips: Look for the Best Drink on the Planet guy, whose tulsi (holy basil), ginger, honey and lemon concoction hurts so good (his kombucha is also fantastic); seek out the incredible ohia wood-smoked chicken from Io's Heaven; and indulge in a spicy, piled-high green papaya salad from Ou's. Finish everything off with vegan gelato from Nicoco.
