Shahijahan Hotel

Srinagar & the Kashmir Valley

The Gujar village part way to Thajiwas Valley still has several archaic wood-and-stone hovels but is rapidly transforming itself into a new hotel area. So far only a couple are operational, of which Shahijahan is the more impressive – great value when discounted but absurdly overpriced at full rates.

Mohammed Rafi organises treks. By vehicle take the track opposite Hotel Divine Inn.
