Fenix Food Factory

Top choice in Rotterdam

Almost everything in this former warehouse is made locally and sold by entrepreneurs making their mark on the food scene. They include Booij Kaasmakers (cheese, milk, yoghurt, eggs), Cider Cider, Jordy's Bakery (bread and baked goods), Stielman Koffiebranders (coffee roasters), Stroop Rotterdam (stroopwafels), Kaapse Brouwers (craft brewery), Firma Bijten (meat) and De Westlandse Tuin (fruit and veggies).

There's plenty of seating at which to enjoy a meal sourced at on-site eateries, which include Meneer Tanger (Moroccan mezes) and The Kaapse Kitchen. Firma Bijten also fires up a daily barbecue. Popular eatery Posse is in an adjoining building.

The market is easy to access from Wilhelminapier, via the Rijnhaven pedestrian bridge.
