Run by Jamal Imrehane, owner of Toubkal Guide, this friendly stone-faced guesthouse looks out over Imlil and the Mizane Valley from Tamatert. Arranged around an internal courtyard, riad-style rooms come with fancy stucco ceilings, brass lanterns and stripey Asni blankets. Several rooms have balconies and one also has a fireplace.
Needless to say, with one of the most experienced local guides as your host, all your trekking needs are covered here. Just up the hill is the Kasbah Imlil, a similarly nice choice run by the same owner.
