Kuriftu Resort & Spa

Eastern Ethiopia

Popular with Addis Ababa’s elite, this is a massive but attractive resort – the only one on Lake Kuriftu. There’s a wide variety of spacious, spick-and-span rooms in several stone-and-timber buildings right on the shore; not all rooms come with lake views, though. The atmospheric, fancy restaurant (mains Birr130 to Birr250) overlooking the lake is a joy.

Prices include kayaking, table tennis, billiards, swimming pool and sauna.
