Das Bier brews pilsners according to Reinheitsgebot (Germany's 1516 beer purity law). Sample the full range at their visitor-friendly facility with a pretty patio – 13 taps plus an epic smoked-oak triple in a bottle. It also serves the most serious eats of the Blumenau-area breweries (mains R$18 to R$24).

Verde Vale runs buses to Gaspar every half hour from an intermunicipal stop across from Hotel Plaza Blumenau (R$4.25). If you can't make it to Gaspar, it has opened Das Bier Kneipe, 5km from central Blumenau in Shopping Park Europeu, with four choices on draft. Catch bus 15 from Estacão Blumenau (R$4.05).
