Valamo's restaurant resembles and smells like a hospital cafeteria and when we last visited, the quality of the buffet (11am to 7pm) matched perfectly. You'll be much better off ordering a coffee or tea with a sandwich or bun and enjoying it on the front terrace. Loaves of the monastery's home-baked rye bread can be purchased to take away (€5).
