The siren call of tasty craft beer sings to locals and tourists alike at Skopje's only microbrewery, which is justifiably popular for its Weiss beer, IPA, golden ale and dark beer – all brewed on-site and accompanied by a dependable menu of international pub grub. The sunny terrace, sandwiched between the walls of Tvrdina Kale Fortress and Sveti Spas Church, crowns its appeal.
The brewery's elevated position above the centre of the Čaršija can make it a little difficult to find: seek out the entrance to Sveti Spas and you'll find the pub opposite. Or if you enter the old bazaar from the Stone Bridge, take the steep street to the left as you reach the heart of the bazaar and climb the staircase at the top of the street to find it. A tasting paddle of three 0.3L beers costs 270MKD.
