Run by the super-dedicated Mohan Aryal, this resort combines a charming atmosphere with deep local knowledge. The peaceful grounds contain spacious, spic-and-span Tharu mud-walled cottages with fans, nets, hot water, bathrooms and endearing porches. You can also hang out in the lovely outdoor dining cabanas or numerous hammocks. Meals are served buffet-style in a dining hall that is movie-set perfect.
Transport can be arranged with Mohan. Pick-up and drop-off at Ambassa is free if you stay at least two nights.
