Hotel Country Villa

Nagarkot

This popular resort is a mix of commendable highs offset by a few glaring lows. Spread out lengthwise along a hillside, it's designed to maximise views, and does so: the mountains can be admired from your bed, or on the wonderful terrace, one of the best viewpoints in Nagarkot. You'll see the Indravati River shining in the distance. Taxes included.

There is also an attractive family style dining area with a multicuisine menu. But the food gets mixed reviews, the dingy stairwells are more befitting a budget hotel in Delhi, and the claustrophobic spa belongs in the backstreets of Thamel.
